Graceland Foreclosure Sale Halted by Elvis Presley's Granddaughter
Historic Memphis Home at Risk of Auction
Lisa Marie Presley Files Lawsuit to Prevent Sale
Lisa Marie Presley, the granddaughter of the late music icon Elvis Presley, has filed a lawsuit to halt a foreclosure sale of Graceland, the singer's historic Memphis home.
According to the notice filed by Presley, Promenade Trust, which controls the Graceland estate at 3734 Elvis Presley Blvd, owes $38 million after failing to make payments on a loan.
The lawsuit alleges that the trust has breached its fiduciary duty and mismanaged the Graceland property. Presley is seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent the scheduled foreclosure sale.
Graceland is one of the most iconic tourist destinations in the United States, attracting over 600,000 visitors annually. It is considered a national historic landmark and a symbol of Elvis Presley's legacy.
