Alex Mitchell Injury

England handed devastating Alex Mitchell injury update

England have been rocked by a knee injury to Alex Mitchell that will see the scrum-half miss the Six Nations match against Scotland on Saturday.

Mitchell has been ruled out of England's trip to Murrayfield due to a knee injury.

The 22-year-old has been in impressive form for Saracens this season, and his absence will be a blow to Eddie Jones' side.

Marcus Smith will start at fly-half in place of Mitchell, while Alex Dombrandt will come into the side at scrum-half.

Mitchell will join up with the squad to continue his rehabilitation from the injury, but it is not yet clear when he will be fit to return to action.

The news of Mitchell's injury is a major setback for England, who are already without a number of key players.

Anthony Watson, Elliot Daly, and Jonny May are all out injured, while Courtney Lawes is suspended.

England will be hoping that Mitchell can make a quick recovery, but his absence will undoubtedly weaken their chances of victory against Scotland.
